ElektorWheely: Prototype 2.2

Meanwhile Chris Krohne arrived bringing along the absolutely new version 2.2 of the ElektorWheely right from the machine shop - now in deep Elektor blue. Jan, the most experienced wheelie driver, demonstrates the new abilities of the virgin third prototype to Wisse Hettinga, the international editor in chief (in the door frame).
Prototype 2.2 is lowered compared to prototype 2.0. As one result the center of gravity is lower now. Therefore the new prototype got a new feature: passive self-balancing without the help of electronics and motor power. The wheelie can be switched off and it will not fall over.
Furthermore, the software algorithms have been tuned to accelerate more precisely. The bearing of the handle tab has been improved to withstand stronger forces and to behave more responsive at the same time. Prototype 2.2 feels smoother than prototype 2.0.
