An Audience with Geoffrey Boycott OBE

Leeds Metropolitan University hosted 'An Audience with Geoffrey Boycott OBE', a unique one-off event with one of our greatest sporting heroes, on Tuesday 19 October at the Carnegie Pavilion.

The renowned former cricketer and sports commentator discussed his impressive career in sport, broadcasting and international events with Gareth Davies, former international rugby union player and Dean of the University's Carnegie Faculty, before taking questions from students and staff at the university.

Organised by the UK Centre for Events Management (UKCEM), based at Leeds Metropolitan at the new Carnegie Pavilion, the session was a rare opportunity for the audience to ask questions about the sporting career of the legendary former cricketer.


This summer, Leeds Metropolitan awarded Geoffrey Boycott OBE an Honorary Doctorate in Sports Science. His visit to the new Carnegie Pavilion at Headingley Carnegie Stadium saw him return to the home of many of his cricketing triumphs.
