Well no they shouldn't bring this type of scene to the States because it already somewhat exists and tuner/muscle enthusiasts don't get along with the yuppies. I am aware some of these guys do work on their cars and they know a fair bit, but the likes of the manufacturers are too white collared for American drag strips.
Besides, American dragstrips have cheap Fox Body mustangs running 8s in 1/4.
The majority of these cars on Drag Times wouldn't stand a chance.

man these guys should come to america and have some fun on highways , every year in USA we have the biggers SUPRA NATIONALS IN TEXAS HOUSTON , SHIT IS CRAZY they have dyno days a really high RWHP SUPRAS that are making over 1500 rwhp , some TTGALLARDOS , TT VIPERS , gt 40 tt's all the good shit , and when it gets dark that when the fun begins HIGHWAY PULLS , and i like what u guys have in russia a 1mile run that bad ass.
