Completely stupid that they removed all this content from the PAL / USA editions.
I hope that this kind of dumbing down, watershed (maybe) and translation laziness will never EVER happen again for the Ace Combat series.

So what was the electrosphere.....i felt so lost playing this game without a story to go with it...sigh.....Japanese version looks awesome though...=S

I've heard it was because Namco didn't expect to make any profit from it. In other words, it would have cost more for them to properly localise the game than they would have made from game sales.

Yes! If Namco were to actually pull it off, then I'm sure Ace Combat fans would be extremely pleased. If the game is remade with all the story elements, and the same aircraft, I'm sure it would be a great game. It was probably one of the most innovative games of its time.

I think there has been talk about remaking AC3 for the PS3 and 360, with all story elements added into the U.S. and PAL verisons. It's supposed to be basically the Japanese version of the game, with new graphics, and translated to English.

It's every ace combat fans dream ... but I really doubt Namco would ever do it. There is a petition somewhere out there on the interent asking them to remake it. lol, we all know how successful those things are!
