This dude looks and sounds like a dentist or something

Hi Kent, many thanks for posting these - I've found them very helpful, along with the book. Do you have a DVD of the full recording? Do you plan to publish anything further? Do you have anything similar on Xing Yi Quan? Thanks again, Neil

Something that I have noticed, that seems to be prevalent in Wang Shujin's forms is the positioning of the rear hand. Keep the hand in the "earth" position sure seems to help stabilize my balance, but I am a big guy.
Thanks so much for these videos! With the book, these videos fill in any possible gap the reader could have, IMO.
Great work, please note that your work and time are greatly appreciated.

Thank you this is what I was looking for!

@ThorWillKill1 i was really hoping to learn from a master one day, but due to my location chances of me meeting a bagua master are very slim so, there's a book called" baguazhang theory and app " its a very thick book and it's the best chances for me to ever learn baguazhang

I`ve heard that some people can walk around you using circle walking and hit you in your back
-
I don't really know anything about baguazhang. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could learn the basics.

Oh my gosh!!! this is so useful!
Thanks for the kind remarks. I am not sure what you mean by the 'earth' position, but in this form the lower hand is kept near the dantian (lower abdomen) with the thumb pointing, more or less, toward the navel. The elbow shouldn't be held too far outward. Hope that helps.

Although is seems like your just walking around and around it is hard to understand how to trully walk it. I use a cirlce that is 6ft in lenght and i have a wooden dummy in the middle. the key when you first start is not to focus on the middle but make sure your walking it straight. the goal is also to change your stance, walk and direction. Go forward 6 revolutions. go the other direction for 6 and repeat going backwards as well.

Hi Baguaman, Do the details of the mud step vary by lineage?

Mud stepping can represent several different steps depending on the style. Wang's was more of a heel-to-toe but tending toward stepping foreward with the flatter foot profile.
