Good show from the Buckeye band. Nice arrangement to their style of marching.

  • i love to go in OHIO

  • They weren't short a Grad Assist. Back then it was whoever was available to direct on the far ladders got up there and did it. There weren't all these people in "director" uniforms available.

  • @robespierrebeauregar Wow it looks like it. Maybe they were short a Grad Ass.

  • at 1:25 is the assistant drum major conducting!?!

  • According to TBDBITL website Woods is in his 26th year as head director, which make his first year in 1983, so he would have been head director in 85...oh well, who knows lol

  • I'm not sure when they changed it, but the stripes are also gold here whereas the 4 he has now are all silver.

  • 1:57 to the end, especially 2:07.

The reason the Big Ten Bands are the best. Ridiculous dynamic control and overwhelming power of sound. You think they can't get any louder, and then they do!

I may be a member of the Marching Illini, but I have nothing but respect for Ohio State's band. This show is one of the reasons why.

  • Or was that not Dr. Woods lol....isn't it also "Jon"... not "John"?

  • Dr. Woods has 3 stripes. When did they add it to 4?

  • we certainly don't use those old drums. We still carry then on a sling, but they aren't old. We just got new ones this year and the previous ones in 2003.
