Duke Nukem Forever Trailer (2001)

Trailer for the infamous Duke Nukem Forever, taken from the E3 expo back in 2001.

This title, a sequel to Duke Nukem 3D, was first announced back in 1997. The title has since faced countless delays while purportedly much of the game has been reworked to make use of newer technologies. For many gamers, Duke Nukem Forever has become a joke, a title destined to always be talked about, but never released. Wired magazine awarded the title their Vapourware Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.

As of April 2008, 11 years into DNF's development, there is still no firm release date.

While now dated, this trailer featured some very impressive visuals for its time. More recently released media show a much improved graphics engine with visuals on par for today's games.

If this was released in 2001, it would be probably the best game in there, too bad these idiots released in 2011 with a horrible gameplay, all of this was ruined by Gearbox, and probably Aliens : Colonial marines will suck.

Man. Just imagine if this game actually came out back then. Think of the praise. DNF would've probably been granted the title of best fps of last gen... oh well. I think Red Faction stole it.

Keep in mind, this was all scripted to make an impressive trailer. At the time they were just concepts the developers had come up with, but were not actually implemented. They didn't know if they were actually going to be able to program them into the game, but it made it look good for a trailer, so they added them to create hype.
