Senior Grand Master Cacoy Canete training and sparring his student Zach Whitson, using the close quarter "curving" stick fighting style that he developed over many decades. This training session was filmed on July 4, 2008. Grand Master Cacoy is the most senior of all living Doce Pares Masters and Grand Masters. G.M. Cacoy celebrated his 89th birthday on August 8, 2008.

i hope i can learn a lot like this because i only knows basic in arnis but not enough..i like to teach my litle girl 3 years from now she is 4 years old and i think its easy to teach a like that age..

i had a seriouse car wreck & used martial arts 2 rehabilitate myself back n2 my kung fu foundation years ago .since i found out what it was like 2 be almost completely infirm . now i have a whole new outlook on training .i've also added kali/jkd 2 my weekly regiments so that i can be as spry as this old golden warrior when i'm that age . i love this vidio G.M. CACOY IS AWESUM

GM Cacoy Canete's long lost side kick, fernando candawan is still active, very strong old man and he love to teach specially to children until now..

his right hand in doce pares is still alive too... 83yrs.old DOCE PARES GM Fernando Candawan, he's here in philippines and still teaching escrido, i am one of his student.. i really love their techniques...

lol I was laughing the whole time,to see such a good teacher made to look helpless, it is great to hear GM Cacoy laughing and having a good time as he decimates his student! :) Great stuff!
