  • do the full size grippys have 2 omega springs?

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

Yes indeed my brother... as far as I know all Axis locks include 2 omega springs... that is to say, I've never seen one with only one spring.

  • @X4CTO ah, i remember seeing your take down vid and i thought maybe there was only one, which meant my new FREE mini grip had an advantage over the full size ones.

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana

HAHA! Well as far as I know they're all that way. I've not taken apart a lot of the different style of BM Axis locking knives... but I assume that's going to be standard so that both sides of the Axis bar remain with forward tension.

Enjoy your new FREE mini Grip my brother... can beat FREE! HAHA!

The Griptilians are good knives... just gotta be careful with those omega springs. You can always send it in to Benchmade anyway... so just use it and enjoy it.

Well there you go... enjoy your new KaBars then!

  • @X4CTO i forgot i just ordered a couple kabars so im set for a while

The Izula is a great one for sure... and Blade HQ has them in green and red coating as well... pretty damn sweet. I like the knife quite a bit... I don't have one personally, but a friend of mine that I practice Kali with has one and she carries it as her SD fixed blade... she's pretty wicked fast with it too. =)

  • @X4CTO ive been thinking about getting an ESEE izula for my fixed blade what do you think?

  • @shawn4201111

Well if you're going through Enduras then might I suggest a Cold Steel with the TriAd lock? That's one of the strongest lock mechanisms you can ask for right there... I love it. I've heard others mentioning the play in an Endura's lock bar, but I don't have that problem in mine to be honest... granted I don't use a folder to do extremely hard use tasks though. I have my fixed blades for that.

  • @X4CTO iv'e been through 3 endura 4s but the work i do is extremely heavy. im always cutting through some really thick zip ties and allot of synthetics that are extremely harsh on a blades locking mechanism.
