  • Huge tennessee fan! so glad i saw the link for these highlights. before this, i have never seen anything about this game and i was cheering like this was real time.

VOLS FOREVER! BLEED ORANGE BABY! thumbs up please..?

  • @Gunnz287 First off....The Noles are a storied program and I respect them. However, football is your best eleven against my best eleven. Florida State put the best players they had available on the field and couldn't get the job done. Could Weinke have made a difference? Maybe, but you can't guarantee that he would have won you the game. If we had Lewis, it might have offset the difference. You lost the game. And your secondary got freaking torched. That had nothing to do with Weinke.

  • I cannot wait until Tennessee Football is back to National Prominence. Such a storied program! GO VOLS GO!

  • I meant Peter Warrick! Oops!

  • I honestly don't think FSU having Weinke would've made much difference. The job UT did on Warrick Dunn made the difference. Weinke wouldn't have had any better success than Outzen did because TN'S defense did such a great job on Dunn and the rest of the FSU receiver group.

  • @Blenderstruck2035 Didn't even remember the injury til watching the highlights. You're probably right, but, who knows. I'm sure Tennessee would have like to have Jamal Lewis playing too (knee injury) but there was a much bigger drop off from Weinke to Outzen.

  • FSU would've won had Weinke not broken his neck...

  • @bhkidd Yeah I hate when broadcasters are pretty much openly biased (Not even a Vols fan). It's all good though, you guys got your National Title, so look who's laughing last.

  • Man, I wish someone else had called this game. You could just hear the disgust in Keith Jackson's voice every time we did something good. He was such a Bowden fan, and it showed in this game. He did the same thing in the '85 Sugar Bowl, when he sarcastically said that we had no chance against Miami when he thought he was off air. The old satellite feeds of the day did not cut away when the network feed went to commercial on the OTA broadcast. Every satellite viewer heard it, including me.

  • Awesome thanks!
