Mutantes Ao Vivo - Barbican Theatre, Londres 2006 é um CD e DVD da banda brasileira Os Mutantes. É o primeiro registro da banda após sua dissolução em 1978, gravado na primeira apresentação da banda de uma mini-turnê pela Inglaterra e EUA.
Os Mutantes é uma banda brasileira de rock psicodélico formada durante o Tropicalismo no ano de 1966, em São Paulo, por Arnaldo Baptista (baixo, teclado, vocais), Rita Lee (vocais) e Sérgio Dias (guitarra, baixo, vocais). Também participaram do grupo Liminha (baixista) e Dinho Leme (bateria).

A banda é considerada um dos principais grupos do rock brasileiro. Além do inovador uso de feedback, distorção e truques de estúdio de todos os tipos, os Mutantes foram os pioneiros na mescla do rock and roll com elementos musicais e temáticos brasileiros. Outra característica do grupo era a irreverência. Se antes dos Mutantes, o gênero no Brasil era basicamente imitativo, a partir do pioneirismo de Arnaldo, Sérgio e Rita, abriu-se o caminho do hibridismo.

Os Mutantes iniciou suas atividades em 1966, como um trio, quando se apresentaram em um programa da TV Record, até terminar em 1978 com apenas Sérgio Dias como integrante original. Ao longo destes doze anos, foram gravados nove álbuns - sendo que dois deles, O A e o Z e Tecnicolor, foram lançados apenas na década de 1990. Foi nessa década que foi reconhecida no cenário do rock nacional e internacional a importância dos Mutantes como um dos grupos mais criativos, dinâmicos, radicais e talentosos da era psicodélica e da história da música brasileira e mundial.

Mutantes Ao Vivo - Barbican Theatre, London 2006 is a CD and DVD of the Brazilian band Os Mutantes. It is the band's first record after its dissolution in 1978, recorded at the band's first performance of a mini-tour of England and the USA.
Os Mutantes is a psychedelic rock band from Brazil, formed during the Tropicalismo in 1966 in Sao Paulo by Arnaldo Baptista (bass, keyboards, vocals), Rita Lee (vocals) and Sérgio Dias (guitar, bass, vocals). Also participating in the group Liminha (bass) and Dinho Leme (drums).

The band is considered one of the main groups of Brazilian rock. Besides the innovative use of feedback, distortion, studio tricks of all kinds, the mutants were the first to blend rock and roll musical and thematic elements with Brazilians. Another feature was the group's irreverence. If before the mutants, the genus in Brazil was largely imitative, from the pioneering work of Arnold, George and Rita opened up the path of hybridity.

Os Mutantes began in 1966 as a trio, when they appeared in a TV Record program until it ends in 1978 with Sergio Dias just like an original. Over these twelve years, were recorded nine albums - two of them, and OA Z and Technicolor, was just launched in the 1990s. It was this decade that was recognized in the rock scene to national and international importance as one of Mutants of the most creative, dynamic, radical and talented psychedelic era and the history of Brazilian and world music.
