Another wonderful Lady M who always seems to be forgotten was Mara Zampieri. I heard her twice in Vienna (one time as a replacement for Dimitrova - whom I unfortinately never heard live in this role) and once in a scheduled performance of her own.I know a lot of people don't like her, and the voice is a bit strange, but a fascinating singer and artist. Who can sing this role nowadays?

there is only one callas. caballe was her only equal etc.

I would say it's about 1985 from Sofia. It's from "World Concert" in which singers from around the world at different locales contributed an aria with the whole thing spliced together. Definitely a hodgepodge.

Indeed, Verrett was very powerful in this role. I am lucky to have seen both ladies on stage.

The mighty Dimitrova makes a mighty Lady. Like Caballé, she approximates or omits the written trills ("Io ti daró valore"). In my view, not since Callas have we heard a voice like this in this role. A wonderful artist.

And in my view at least when it comes to voice, Ghena's instrument is superior to Callas'.
