What happens when people believe in an authority that's systematically quoted out of context? They don't 'choose life' that's for sure.

People trapped in the watchtower cult will only ever get a 'hope' of salvation, nothing more, and that carrot can be taken away as punishment for not maintaining the 'image' of smiling faces and 'group-love'. Like for instance a child (and family) speaking out against a sexually abusing elder risks a great deal without having the second witness to confirm it. The elder enjoys the protection of 'ecclesiatical privilege' set up by the watchtower society, meanwhile the abused person, often a little girl looking up to the elder with respect, has to somehow rationalise what is happening to her. She became a 'Silent Lamb' (google search it), waiting in vain for a brand-name god to intervene, unaware that she is not alone.

I don't think somehow that Jesus Christ would approve, do you?

In conventional christianity, for centuries people have been happily going to heaven, having believed in jesus. But the problem is, just believing in jesus doesn't sell literature if you are part of an expansion-ism book publishing pyramid scheme, which doesn't really know where it's going.
So meanwhile, in true watchtower style, continue quoting the bible out of context and get people to believe time is running out, create myths and hysteria...

Watch Tower net assets currently estimated $1.8 billion and growing every day. A network of underground tunnels are located beneath the NY HQ, much of it secret. There is most definately an independent power generation plant, stored fuel to run it, underground bunkers and also believed by many: air purification and emergency food supply.

One hell'uv a noah's ark!

  • lol...a cult? satanic? Obviously Portgas isnt answering the way he should and sending out a bad message. We are neither a cult nor are we satanic. Next time a jW knocks on your door take 5 minutes and listen to what they have to say. If you still think we're satanic by any means then id be suprised.

  • PortgasFirefist

You shall know them by their fruits. your fruits speak loud and clear YOU ARE EVIL, JW are not just a cult they have to be satanic to be able to think in such a manor. My God Have Mercy.

  • you are a big idiot man you are going against Jah . Well you know well what is the meaning of this , when the day of Armagedon come Jah will not have any more mercy for you fool .

  • You think that's crazy? Ask a real JW what he/she thinks about 9/11. Their responses will scare you. I was in NY during 9/11 and I knew of more than a few JWs who laughed, sang kingdom melodies and were excited about the destruction. They were giddy in the expectation that Armageddon was at hand.

  • Very true. That's why I left the WTS. I started realizing that everything centered around distributing magazines in salesman-like fashion. NOTHING was ever done to promote community service, much less helping other members in the kingdumb hall. Even the circuit and district overseers had a very "managerial" way about them. Their activities were solely to audit the business functions of the congregation. Visiting the elderly members, the sick and distressed was RARELY if ever done.

  • The sad thing is these sects, cults, hcg's like the watchtower church (and those like it) don't actively participate in inter-faith relations, they have a superiority complex, 'holier than thou' attitude and mistakenly think they are better than everyone else, just because they have 'branded' the spiritual experience of being close to god, with an exclusive 'brand-name'.

Exactly the same way that burnt sugar is marketed just because "only coca cola is the real thing"

  • just be careful brother HH...the pyramid eye sees all..

  • You know a JW recently told me that 'during the revolution', the baby I mentioned with muslim parents will be killed by a wall falling on its head, so it will be a quick death. I think there is something wrong here with this religious pyramid scheme.

If you are religious and reading this, you might want to pray for the lady who told me that, and for other JW's like that.

  • you are funny bro...do you think jah will let us use bulldozers to dig mass graves to bury all 6 000 000 000 evildoers and their ignorant toddlers?
