@vikingsfan4410 However, if God wishes to present himself in thousand different forms or none at all, that is no business of yours or mine & we cannot set him boundaries!
It seems though that muslims think that they have the authority to set the rules about what God can and cannot do! This contradicts the muslim belief in omnipotence, by saying that God cannot have son without a consort, etc. In effect muslims are unbelievers in the omnipotence of God.
i) Christ was crucified on the cross. All the contemporary historical records of Christ, record that he was executed, whether from Christian, Jewish or non believing Roman historians. No 1st or 2nd century manuscript contests this.
@faithbyloving And before you bring it up, the animal sacrifices in the "Old Testament" were symbolic, had very specific rules and were very importantly NOT human sacrifice (or claims of pagan forms of some kind of Deicide either). These animal sacrifices were always secondary to simply repentance as is noted in Jonah 3:5-10, Psalm 32:5, Psalm 51:16-19, Proverbs 21:3, Jeremiah 7:21-26, and tons more.
@faithbyloving Also I find it odd that Christians can honor someone like Paul who went around murdering the followers of the Prophet Jesus PBUH and then claimed he was sent on a mission to completely change the religion of Moses that Jesus was teaching see Matthew 5:17-20 (the Mosaic law still holds and is forever, not even a dot of it will go away or not be followed). Also it is really odd as well that you love Paul when Paul says Jesus became a curse in Galatians 3:13. So was Jesus cursed?!
@faithbyloving And especially not "vicarious atonement" that would involve the pagan act of human sacrifice or in the case of mainstream Christian beliefs a crazy form of Deicide mixed with the completely incomprehensible claims of a supposed "trinity" that would involve the God who was also somehow his own son, sacrificing himself back to himself to wash away the claimed "original sin" which Jews who knew the Old Testament best says simply doesn't exist.
@faithbyloving The Creator is One, this is what Muslims and Jews believe. I respect honest Christians and their beliefs (especially earlier groups like the Nazarenes and Ebionites of course i.e. the true followers of Jesus PBUH) however the claim the Almighty has any alleged "offspring" is a blasphemy not just to Muslims but Jews as well who follow the same "Old Testament" (or what they called the Hebrew Tanakh) as you say you do. Also the Almighty forgives, no need for "vicarious atonement"
@vikingsfan4410 Do realise that if you were writing for a Greek readership, it would be futile to write the gospel in Aramaic to people who only spoke Greek!
@vikingsfan4410 You also appear to be suggesting that the gospels were all originally written in Aramaic, since you say Christ spoke in Aramaic. In my opinion, it is highly likely that there was at least one Aramaic gospel, but this is unproven. Also it is equally possible that most of the gospels were originally written in Greek, since the writing of the gospels became an essential activity, once the stability of Hebrew Christian life was broken.
@vikingsfan4410 re "translation issues" - yes, there are translation issues. I don't deny this. However, I do deny that it makes any significant difference to the overall message of the gospels and NT - it doesn't. No amount of posturing around this issue will change the fact that the Greek gospels are faithful accounts of Jesus life, ministry, death and resurrection.
Sorry but I won't be reading any of Bart Ehrman's rubbish. I've seen enough of his videos to see his deceitful misleading of his listeners and have noticed the way he actually slips in errors and tries to present them as "facts" just like your "Naik" does! Ehrman is sloppy and arrogant. Anyone who is taken in by his deceptions is making a gullible fool of themselves.

@vikingsfan4410 It is the Codex Sinaticus, not Vaticanus.
