  • From my opinion, the point of the director, ending the movie with the little girl saying the killer looked just ordinary, is to say that this man who acted like a monster is just as human as you and me. The detectives spent their whole time chasing marginal people, because they didn't think that so much evil could come from a normal person.

I think that the director wants to make us think about what is dark about human nature.

Is there other people who share my opinion ?

  • This ending is amazing.

The Killer is still out there, so hes looking at us, and presumably the killer is watching this film, so hes looking at the killer...

  • This was by far the best movie i've seen in a while

  • best crime movie i've ever seen

  • @bujor2000aja So did i

  • @TheBenSigmund That seems to be spot on, completely.

  • Just watched it last night from SBS...great movie!

  • @SuperOmnicron haha ok good luck with that! You should be able to get one easily from amazon, or if you dont have the resources, i'm sure you could find it online.

  • @789123456789 .. I've been living overseas, and haven't been able to get one...i will get it when I return to America in March.

  • @SuperOmnicron A subtitled version of Mother has been released for quite some time now. Its also really good though nowhere near as good as Memories Of Murder.

  • @789123456789 ...Yes, and by him facing the camera, is the killer still among us? It personalizes and projects the ordeal. I hope to see a subtitled version of Mother (another mystery by the same director)

  • @TheBenSigmund ..Great point. I also think that the girl made the former detective realize that the case and his suffering ( for having not solved it) never ends. I think it truly captures the enigma and obsession of an unsolved mystery.
