Tragedy struck Modesto East member Don Kemplen and his family. On Tuesday, fire destroyed their home, along with all their personal possessions. All the family members escaped except his 6 year old daughter, Leila, who did not survive the fire. Checks are payable to Modesto Rotary East Foundation, Inc., with notation Leila Kemplen Memorial Fund and mail to Oak Valley Community Bank, 1200 "I" Street, Suite 3, Modesto, CA 95354.
