  • As someone who has fished the rivers of Devon for 20 years, this almost makes me weep. I wish I had a time machine!

  • Many thanks Will, a great job taking it off the dvd! If anyone is interested, these fish were taken by my Dad (Richard Bellamy) on a May morning in 1964 from the Spitchwick and Hockinston Tor sections of the river Dart. The fish weighed 11, 8 and 16lbs. The other gentleman in the footage is Ken Hamlyn, rivercraftsman extraordinaire! The 50s and early 60s probably were the high-point of spring salmon fishing on the Dart, before the dreaded UDN basically wiped out the runs.

  • looks fun!!
