Many thanks Will, a great job taking it off the dvd! If anyone is interested, these fish were taken by my Dad (Richard Bellamy) on a May morning in 1964 from the Spitchwick and Hockinston Tor sections of the river Dart. The fish weighed 11, 8 and 16lbs. The other gentleman in the footage is Ken Hamlyn, rivercraftsman extraordinaire! The 50s and early 60s probably were the high-point of spring salmon fishing on the Dart, before the dreaded UDN basically wiped out the runs.
As someone who has fished the rivers of Devon for 20 years, this almost makes me weep. I wish I had a time machine!
