You're wrong. Lead singer of Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer says "just torrent my music" in response to a fan asking who they should buy Dresden's music from so that the band gets the most profit. Amanda explained that she will see next to nothing from anyone selling the music. She requested people specifically to torrent the music, buy merchandise, see concerts, and donate direct to their website.
