I listened to both Autry's and Ritter's version. Not only is your version better, but so is, in my opinion, your voice. However, what irritates me is the fake western hat. It looks as natural on you as a screen door on a sub. Dude, just present yourself naturally, sing with that great voice and BAM you'd be a hit. 5*

This is easily one of THE BEST versions I've heard of what remains one of my all time favourite Western songs..IMHO you are second only to the great Tex Ritter in doing this song proud! Do you perform in the musical theatre? If you DON't then you most certainly should be!

I stated singing this song to my grandson at 4 months...he's now 2 1/2 and still loves the song.. I bounce him on my knee when I sing ...that's the horsey part...thankyou for singing your version.. I love it too

I sang that song in 3rd Grade chorus back in about 1968. You did it better!
