HAVIDOL® is a suite of 3 short single-channel video works using the model of prescription pharmaceutical TV advertising as its model. Director, Justine Cooper, created a fictional marketing campaign that includes TV Ads to launch the equally fictional lifestyle pharmaceutical, HAVIDOL®. An artful parody of a new kind of gold rush heralding the era of psycho-chemical mining by the pharmaceutical companies, to a public who is ready to swallow almost anything in the pursuit of the new American dream. A life without pain, only gain. HAVIDOL suggestively questions the expectations we place on ourselves and on western medicine. In this TV Ad, animator Kuni Chang, creates a scenario that mimics the marketers use of animation to build a youth market. While HAVIDOL purports to be a lifestyle pharmaceutical, the animation flirts with the notion of cross-over drugs, like Viagra, which are often used recreationally.

I prefer Havidol XR. It provides all day relief with one morning dose. There is no generic and it costs $500/month more than regular Havidol, but its necessary. you see, teenagers were crushing up the immediate release Havidol and snorting it, which caused them to think they were taking Haditol. Once you take Haditoll you lose all motivation and only think about the past.

Absolutely excellent. All parts of it - the havidol website, the adverts, the prescribing information and the rest - its all exactly like the real thing.
