[Zach's pov]
I've been writing my butt off for the past few months. I have so many different ways of writing. I never can tell. Sometimes if I hear a phrase, it will kick off a few lines of lyrics which then generate inspiration for music. Nathan sometimes plays a chord progression which then triggers a melody, but many times I get lyrics and melody in my head both at the same time. The producers told us to come up with a small debut EP of our first album within two months. It was tight, but we did. It's called 'Suddenly' and it contains six songs; 'A Different Side Of Me', 'Dance Forever', 'Hey Princess', 'Journey to The End Of My Life', 'Clock Runs Out', 'The Weekend' and 'Amy'. A few of them were already written like 'Dance Forever', 'A Different Side Of Me' that we used for the NBT contest and 'Journey To The End Of My Life' which was the first song we wrote as a band. Nonetheless, 'Amy' stays my favorite. It's the most meaninful song to me precisely because it's about Alia. As fast as her name resounded through my mind, I dreamt about the beauty of her smile, the taste of her lips, the sound of her voice, the color of her eyes, the flavor of her smell; i just miss her presence by my side. I haven't seen her in a while since we got signed to Hollywood Records. I feel terrible, almost like i ditched or ignored her. I'm off doing my own thing and it feels like we're going our separate ways.
Abruptly, an idea just crossed my mind. I wanna fix it, so i'm gonna plan a surprise for Alia tonight. I need something that will melt her heart and blow her mind away. She always says she wants people to honor her. On the one hand, she doesn't wanna be treated as a poster child; but on the other hand, she wants to do something classy and great, something where the residuals will go to the cause. I learn, adapt, and am a very good listener; i thought tonight might be the night to show my lovely girlfriend how much she means to me.
I pulled a bandana from my back jeans pocket and wrapped it around her eyes. "Zach, are you going to tell me where are we going?", Alia asked me inquiringly. "If i tell you, it's not gonna be a surprise anymore", i answered with a large smirk. I lead her down the flowery path, my hand carefully tightened with hers. I slided the keys in the doorlock and slowly closed the door behind us. It was extremely quiet. We walked outside and felt the warm air hit us. "I smell something... is that cherry?", she asked me. "Maybe", i said vaguely. I finally stop and let go of her hand. She stands there about about thirty seconds - "Aren't you going to take the bandana off now?", i suggested her. "Oh, we're there?!", she says reaching for the bandana covering her eyes. "OH MY...!!", she shouted before i could even answer. There was a private pool, with light candles all around it. On the side, i settled down a table with a chocolate fountain and cherries. "This is my dad's friend's house. His family's gone for the whole week, so i asked if i could borrow their house for one night". She smiles and jumps into my arms. "You're so great", she whispers in my ears. "Anything for you, my love", i said rubbing her back. As soon as we changed to our bathing suits, i picked her up leading her towards the pool. "Zach, don't you dare!", she yelled but i cut her off as i launched her in the pool. She swam to the surface glaring at me. "Oh come on that was fun!", i laughed. She giggled and suddenly approchaed to wrap her smooth and wet arms around me. I brought her closer to me as she wrapped her legs around my waist. My whole body was pressed against her which, literally, sends chills down my spine. I slowly leaned in until our lips met. She eventually pulled away - "I wrote a song about you", my voice chook when i said that. "Really?", she said surprised. "Yeah, it's called Amy". "Why's that? My name's not Amy". "It's because it's for everybody to relate to it, it's about that one person who changed your life and makes you grow and became a better person". A short silence settled down while she looked at me with so much passion. "I love you Zach", she finally spoke. "I love you too", i smiled. "Sing it!". "What?". "The song you wrote for me... sing it". "Ooh". And i casually began singing her, what was not only just a song for me, but everything i feel for her.
