The Little Arbolito

A touching and humorous visual dialogue in the vein of Ingmar Bergman where the dog Sunny bares her soul. I could not find a female voice so I did the voice myself. Voicing comic inner dialogue for hapless animals is an entertaining pastime of mine, and Sunny never seemed to mind. All that animals hear is the tone. I saw my role as being a wheelchair for her brain. Shot in a mix of DV and captured super 8 movie film. I wrote the dialogue. Kamran Sadeghi recorded my reading of the text at his studio, mixed it and created the background music. A perfect match. Special thanks to Adrienne and Cara for allowing me to adopt Sunny, and to Joanna for helping me keep her alive and letting her sleep on the bed.
