This is a timelapse of a section of the wind farm at the San Gorgonio Pass near White Water, Calif., adjacent to I-10. Mt. San Jacinto (10,800 ft) can be seen in the background.
This is a very tiny section of the wind farm. Several more sections stretch to Palm Springs (a few miles east of this location) and adjacent areas.
It can get VERY windy here, and this causes some vibration in the camera-tripod system.
The jerkiness of the blade roation is due to the inherent slow-frame-rate capture of the digital SLR (Canon Digital Rebel XT) I used.
