  • @kotomoidealmcky: So Pakistan created this Chaos in Kashmir and on the other hand India gave refuge to Tibetan leader Dalai lama and also to many Tibetan who cross border to come to India risking their lives. When I was in New Delhi, I have heard stories of Chinese aggression from Tibetan people who used to work there.

The death penalty was abolished in Tibet in 1913 and punishments in Tibet were seen as soft after that until the illegal invasion of the independent country of Tibet began in 1949. Please read

  • If you guys are interested in the Tibetan culture and how Buddhism is incredibly influential in the lifestyle over there, definitely watch My Reincarnation. It's a really inspiring and educational documentary but it also touches on the intersection of modern life with that of the ancient traditions. I just think more people should see this movie! bitly .com/t3FuWB

  • Ching Chang Chong. Fuck you China! Free Tibet!!!

  • WTF

  • @alfredsri Racism has rendered your comment completely invalid.

  • @zxqwerxz There are now 5.4 million Tibetans, and in 1959 there were 6.3 million. That can only be explained by genocide, since even with the population growth restriction in China, in 1964 there were 694 million Chinese and now there are 1340 million Chinese people have doubled, while the Tibetan population has decreased... That means that there was a very serious genocide in Tibet. It may not only have been the Mao's genocide itself, but the final outcome denotes a dramatic situation in Tibet

  • @zxqwerxz Apart from that, China has been filling Tibet with ethnic-Chinese settlements, and actively replacing the Tibetan culture and traditions with Chinese culture, something that had happened in a quite more moderately and diplomatic way, before the Chinese invasion of Tibet. The Tibetans don't refuse the modern global culture, what they reject is that that "modern global culture" is not, in the end, no modern but rather a dictatorial and imperialist Chinese form of "modern culture"...

  • @zxqwerxz "Buddhist monks and nuns comprise a substantial proportion of society in the valleys of Tibet." as you told me (apparently privately, since I can't find that statement from you here in this site). Well, I agree with you on that... But thousands of them have been killed by the Chinese during the Chinese occupation of Tibet, apart from other Tibetans: 1.2 million of Tibetans were killed by the Chinese! Isn't that enough? Of course not...
