The way our Government is today is that if the People want it and if the People support it, then the Government will make it illegal.
Hey you screwed up so and so's in the Government: WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE GOVERNMENT AND WE THE PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO....AND NOT TELL US WHAT TO DO.

It like the only tradition still left is at college football games, I hate to see this happen. The same thing happened to the Texas Queen riverboat on lake Ray hubbard. I went on it as a kid and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. But it never had many customers starting in the year 2000 and went bankrupt. It just docked now. I hate to see history be forgotten.

Our governtent is just one big blind sack of dirt, no body cares about history. our forfothers are rolling in there graves to see this go. we need someone that we "are sopose to trust" to speak up and say something and keep the gov. from walking over us.

Save the Delta Queen? I can't believe this is even an issue in the USA. We have real problems!! This should not have to be voted on but instead a permanent exemption be passed. Have the Senate spend time on real issues. We have had the Ten Commandments and prayer in our schools taken away. We can't even Trust In God anymore!!!! Work on terrorists, health care, things that really matter. Leave our history and worship alone.

Teach us history but what good is it if we have nothing to back it up. then what its it? just lies? If this Boat of such history goes then so should the whitehouse and the capital, burn em down "There are to many nails in the walls to hold up photos" that sounds like a good enough reason to me all in faver say "I".

I am a 61 year old who grew up in a poor, small town on the Ohio River. The Delta Queen has been an inspiration to our community. As youngsters, wee knew it was "coming from somewhere" and was "going somewhere". We looked at her as representing hope that we could all do the same one day. Please save the Delta Queen. Nothing else compares to her whistle - saying hello to all of us as she passes by. We want to hear it once more.

The Delta Queen is a unique American treasure. I'm deeply shocked and saddened that losing her ever got this close to being a reality.
