What would a visit to Morocco be without a rug demonstration ? Maison Berbere in Rissani had unique and colorful rugs hanging from the walls, stacked along the perimeter and the group sat down and waited to become educated on the differences.

Woven, from nomad tents, what the designs incorporated into them meant (protection from the "evil eye" was a common element). In the meantime, Travels With Sheila racked her brain trying to remember exactly how many rugs were currently in our house. Love the colors and history! What better souvenir from a foreign country?
