Broken camera (Kodak EasyShare M340)

This is a EasyShare M340 that I think was dropped while it was powered on which broke the lens mechanism. Unfortunate buzzing noise and quick power-on/power-off.

Protip for you guys: don't drop digital cameras. Especially while they are on.

@JoshBroz Keep trying to turn it on will putting some pressure on the lens. I got the camera to work again by doing exactly that

What You have there is a jammed lense. when the camera comes on if the lense doen't move all the way to its stop postition then the camera will auto power off. I found this same camera in a thirft store for $2.50 and cleaned the grit from the lense and it works now.. BTW water and/or gravity and electronics make bad bedfellows

Take the battery out! Turn on, turn off. Might need charging after the lens retreats.

is not broken, that happened to me, just open it, and check the mechanism, i had missplaced screw in there, i just puted it on his original place, and the camera works again......the camera shut off instantly because its detecting that something in the lens mechanism is not working well
