Brilliant cinematography, and perfect marriage of music with the image. I'm not sure exactly how this was scored, or how Anton Karas did his composing, but one almost gets the impression that he improvised while watching a final cut. It's just so perfect - the ominous notes that kind of linger while we watch the shadow, and then the perky notes when we see it's something playful and silly in the shape of a balloon salesman (around 1:15) - wonderful!
