The Manasquan River floods the whole valley, the entire forest is under several feet of water. All the woods along the river are under water after the heavy rains we got this weekend. This happens sometimes after a lot of rain, thats why the valley is called the Manasquan River Floodplain. This part of the flood plain is located in Allaire State Park in Wall, NJ and Manasquan Wildlife Management Area. Allenwood-Lakewood road was closed because of the flooding (water was covering 1/2 of the road).
