Swizzle was brought to our shelter by her rescuer. They had found her in another county wandering the streets and their local shelter took one look at her and said they would not be able to place her up for adoption.
She had been injured and lost her eye. She was going to need a lot of medical care that the shelter would not be able to do for Swizzle. Her rescuer brought her to our shelter and made a donation to help with her medical expenses. We placed her in a foster home and this girl is now ready to find her permanent home.
She has been with dogs and cats in her foster home but she just doesn't really like the cats. She was very shy and scared at first but now she is happy and ready to play at anytime. Her foster home worked with her house training and she is doing very well but will probably still need some more training to make sure she doesn't have those unwanted accidents.
Swizzle's foster family told us that Swizzle really doesn't know how to play with toys. When they would give her a ball or a toy she really didn't know just what to do with it. They were working with her on the basic commands including off and come.
She is very affectionate and is going to make a great pal for you. She loves attention and is always ready to go for a walk. She is doing better and better with learning new things so with your help and guidance Swizzle is going to learn what it is like to be a loving member of a family.

I remember playing with her in the 2009 HSSC Summer Camp! She was so sweet and I hope she's doing great in her forever home!! :)
