I remember watching this game and thinking this was an omen for the Wings. I was right, as they'd lose in the Finals this year to the better team. Jordan Staal was one of the main factors for the Cup win, shutting down Detroit's 'super'stars.

Eh? Pittsburgh announcing? This was Mike Emrick, the Devils' announcer who unfortunately does a lot of high profile games. And he spent 55 minutes of this game going on and on about how awesome the Red Wings are.
Yeah, it was just regular season game, but it was an amazingly entertaining and rewarding game to watch as a Penguins fan. Why the hate if it was "just 2 points"? You sound pretty bitter. :p
