The basic plot begins with Parsons, a chameleon, living his normal life eating crickets every Sunday afternoon, feeding time. One sunday however, a lonely cricket hides from Parsons gaze. They eventually become friends and begin a journey through the zoo searching for a way to stay friends forever. On the way, they discover the power of friendship, faith and even miracles.
