oh Jack... that's a great defence "the old regime was destroyed at canary wharf, I rebuilt it, I changed it". Yes Jack, yes you did... after working there for A HUNDRED YEARS. Also did anyone else notice that in those hundred or so years he never really got promoted until everyone died. Once at new years 2000, and then when canary wharf fell. Now that's a glass ceiling.

Do not take me too seriously... I am ranting for the sake of ranting. I do love Jack dearly, but this amused me.

The problem with everyone talking about the hypocrisy is that you're not factoring in the different universes. A) Rose's Torchwood was created for an ENTIRELY different reason. B) Rose's Torchwood didn't create the disaster that nearly destroyed humanity.

Granted, the Doctor is one of the greatest hypocrites ever... but you know... rule number one is "the Doctor lies" when you start off with THAT... what's a bit of hypocrisy? =P

@Baboonaiih Originally, (before Torchwood started) They were worried about people stealing the footage for Doctor Who so they labled everything in an anagram of the name - that anagram being Torchwood - as a way of protecting it from theft. They did the same thing when they auditioned for the new companion (eventually casting Karen Gillan, of course) calling it casting for "Panic Moon"
