@archeryking641 with a low rib the barrels cover the sight on the first dove. solution: a high rib. your eyes are a bit more away from the barrels and you can see the first dove earlier and shoot it earlier.
the high rib is used for a few different reasons. one reason is it really helps for keeping your barrel cooler. another reason is you are not bent down to your gun, you can have a little more room for your eyes to follow the rib to your front sight. its just a little easier to see your target but if your thinking abut getting a shotgun and shooting competitions i wouldnt worry about getting one with a high rib. you dont need it.

@4Hshooter you need a high rib for doubletrap, to shoot the first target earlier.

i know that the high ribs are a little bit more helpful to acquire the clay quicker but i hate the look on the gun
