@wwps99 You're description fits my feelings exactly. I have also told people that Mexico City is so "alive" I absolutely love it and hate all the negative publicity that Mexicos city often gets. I've been3 times in the last 5 years and can't wait to go back. Oaxaca City and San Crisobel de Las Casas are out of this world. Beautiful places and friendly people.

I just went there last summer. Spent 1 week in Mexico City, 2 weeks in the state of Aguascalientes, and 1 week in Puerto Vallarta. It was the vacation of a lifetime. I fell in love with the city and with the entire country of Mexico as a whole. I don't know what it is, but when I was in Mexico I just felt "alive". It's a feeling I've never felt before. I felt human, every breath I took felt good and right. Mexico is a special place. I'm now back in the states and I can't stop thinking about it!

Mexico is so beautiful, so full of life, so scary at times, so mean and so generous, so unpredictible, so full of history, so indiferent to human suffering and so compasionate at the same time. Mexico city is Mexico city.
