  • I love this movie and I love this scene in particular. I'm really beginning to think that John Thornton is my favorite male hero. I feel like he is so real and human. Thank you so much for putting this up!

  • @ewolfbalto My words exactly!:) He is everything a man should be IMHO. thank you too!

  • konecne Sever a Juh v slovneskej produkcii!!! HURA :))) . konecne niekto kto pozna tento film!!! :DDDDD tesiim :) este by nam ho mohli sprostredkovat na dvd tak ako Vives and Daughters a bolo by to dokonale :)

  • @thheodore Wives and Daughters vyšli pred v lacných DVD v Čechách, dajú sa tam zohnať. Rovnako ako Jane Eyre 2006 alebo spomínaný North&South. Je fajn to sledovať, či nevydajú nejaký zaujímavý historický film do našej filmotéky:)

  • That was my brother. Made a Youtube account just so I can comment on this video and thank you for posting this incredible scene. Most perfect drama series/man/music/scene. God bless you!

  • You are too kind. I am very glad you like this scene too. Yes, it is so amazing.

    have a beautiful day:)

  • I just absolutely adore this scene. I don't believe they could have done it any more perfect. The music, the man, the camera. Just perfect.

  • It's like a scene from a Wong Kar-wai movie. Gives me the chills every time I watch it.

  • That line is brilliant, and the filming is utterly breathtaking and atmospheric! :D all the more astonishing that it's not a line from the novel yet it's perfect.

  • such a beautiful love story breath taking. it's better than pride and prejudice

  • I love this scene and this series I think it even tops pride and prejudice because of the music and the honesty of the characters

  • A sad and beautiful scene with a perfect score to go with it. BTW, I notice that the director for N&S was the same director for Downton Abbey season one and the Christmas special. Go Brian Percival!

  • @MahaUnissa28 You might like Daniel Deronda or Little Dorrit. I know you said you've seen all the Austen movies but if you haven't seen the 2009 version of Emma I highly recommend it.

  • The whole scene was absolutely perfect! The music and narration gave me chills...

Does anyone recommend anything similar to North&South. (I've seen all the Jane Austen movies)

  • What's the name of the song?

  • CHILLS!!

  • I was watching this movie the other night, and when I saw that scene, I got goosebumps. A lot. It send chills running down my spine. I was so in love with that scene. Man, I was starting to think I was crazy! Whoo!
