@phillyfunnyguy Allergic to peanuts.. are there any alternatives??
-
@hhcoyote @juliader @kare4266 I repeat myself. The omega-3 to omega-6 ratio in rice bran oil is about 1:35! That's almost as bad as phillyfunguy's peanut oil. When our bodies need to be at a ratio of 1:1, consuming a bad fat such as ones like peanut oil, and rice bran oil can bring on a host of inflammatory diseases like: diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, skin disorders, etc... virtually every inflammatory disease known to man. And when you consider that Americans are 1:40-1:60
-
@phillyfunnyguy Why on earth would you do that to yourself? The omega 6 to omega 3 ratios of peanut oil are some of the most atrocious I have ever seen. A staggering apporx. of 46:1 resulting in every inflammatory disease known to man, and this is what you've been cooking with for 4 or more years?
-
@phillyfunnyguy 0____0 WTF?!?! Peanut Oil?!?!?!!? Who gave you 3 thumbs up? Do you know anything about omega 3 to omega 6 ratios? You need to have about equal maybe a little more 3 than 6 but in our Western diet, and now because of your choice of peanut oil that includes you, we are at 40 omega6 to every omega 3! You are in such a high inflammatory state it's not even funny. Trow away the peanut oil NOW! Please! You're brain is 1/3 fat and you're giving it a high omega 6 fat source?

olive oil is the best. We use it in mediteranian diet, we use it on everything, from frying to dressing, look at the hear rate mortalities in the mediteranian countries. lowest in the world along with japan

Some brands of coconut oil are better than others. Dr. Mercola recommends "Fresh Shores Coconut Oil" but there are other good ones too. Some of the others I think would be good are "Tropical Traditions", "Jungle Brand" and "Nutivia". All these seem to get there oil from traditional coconut groves and use only fresh coconuts.

I know that coconut oil is not good for "B" blood types. What about Macadamia Oil, it also has a very high heating threshold? Does anyone know what would be better rice bran oil, olive oil or macadamia oil?
-
Why wasn't rice oil mentioned? More omegas than any others and the highest heating threshold.
Most people are cooking with olive oil, then eating burnt oil thinking it is healthy. I am afraid not. Now if we are talking olive oil on a teaspoon, or on a salad, then I say fabulous.
Ancient Chinese secret, Peanut oil. You can heat your pan way over 400deg, or even fry with it. I would rather have an oil that has a high flash point then eating carcinogens. Peanut oil is also very good for your heart, it has an ingredient in it.
