Penn Vet Working Dog Center Tribute to the 9/11 Search Dogs

As we mark the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, we look back to the rescue dogs who searched tirelessly at the disaster sites. These dogs provided hope and comfort for the responders and community, we now honor these heroes in this slideshow and at the 9/11 10 year anniversary tribute www.findingoneanother.org. I was stationed @ McGuire AFB NJ during that time. I remember going into the chow hall on base a week or two after the attacks and when I walked through the door, i saw dozens of these heroic dogs laying inside the foyer sleeping..obviously exhausted from hours of working...their handlers inside catching a quick meal. It is an image that will always be with me.
