The thing is - you can't take this like Spider-Man or X-Men. The graphic novel was more about questions of fate and morality.

I think the movie was better than the graphic novel.Everything that didnt work in the book was either omitted or changed for the movie and was better for it.A lot of people who think Alan Moore is a genius will disagree with my opinion but the ending in the graphic novel was ripped off from an original series episode of The Outer Limits called "The Architects of Fear". It doesnt take a genius to rip off someone else s Idea. peace.

I didn't know The Outer Limits was around before the book. Thats cool. Anyway, I like the book better than the movie, but I agree that the change of the ending was a positive one. I didn't like much else. I especially hated that they made the villain so obvious. You can tell he's evil in his first scene, OUCH! That took the surprise out of it completely. I thought it was too violent too, but that might be because some dumbass took her 4 yr. old girl to see it and she kept crying... WTF?

Yep, the original series The Outer Limits came out around the late fifties and is a lot like the Twilight Zone but more sci-fi. If you want to watch the episode I refer to go to HULU ,they have it up along with about 20 plus other episodes. It will be under the Science Fiction heading. As for Zach Snyder I thought he did what no one else would have been able to with Watchmen. I really hope he does the movie adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns.peace.

it would feel redundant if The Dark Knight Returns was made into a movie.
