Of course it was way over my head and I had no idea what he was doing- in my mind at the time, since he wasn't play at 300 BPMs, he couldn't have been any good. =P
Years later, I re-discovered billy, and I thought, "incredible! How could I not have appreciated this?"
Actually I just bought the CD and you are half right. This is just "Spectrum" the first part "Searching For the Right Door" is the drum solo preceding this on the same track (Irrelevant on the original LP of course)... I got it confused with "Anxiety/Taurian Matador" CARRY ON
