I love this song. I'm in America and my mom and I just watched waking Ned devine. Great movie, great song.

@razboinik7219 You are not alone.

The harmonies are great! This has been a fav song for decades before I heard this version. I can't say I love the (Scottish pipe and drum) military production. I think The first version I heard Tommy Makem and the Clancy bros. will always be the most moving.

I am so confused by this music. It's authentically Irish style but then has this really overproduced, autotuned feel that kinda makes me sick.

somehow this reminds me of Celtic Thunder's "Caledonia"

i hate this song, and my class picked it for our senior song!!! D=

I'm British and also liked it. I'm Welsh. Keep in mind that British includes Welsh, Scottish, and Corning. I believe "English" was what you were looking for, not "British", and even then I hope you were just joking to suggest that English people can't like Celtic music and culture. They did interbreed with us, after all.

@madmanwithabox11 Shut up man I'm British and I liked it.
I want it played at my own funeral procession, complete with the drums and pipes, while everyone including the priest sings and raises a pint in my memory. (And I want to be holding a rosary in my right hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other....) :D

This song is to be played at my funeral. While I am sitting upright in a rocking chair that rocks itself while wearing a full clown suit. Makeup and all.
