This was the first video project I made for my first production class at school. The idea was to take a myth or fairy-tale and turn it into a 1 minute movie. I took Kurt Vonnegut's short story "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" and turned it into a reinterpretation of the "Pandora's Box" story.
I knew I'd be a little over the time limit, but my first cut put me at nearly ten minutes! I cut a lot of the intro, and tried to explain it all using a voice over instead. I don't like it as much as I do the longer version, but I think it gets the job done considering the rather extreme time constraint.
(note: the initial voice over on black does not count towards the movie's length).
Anyway, I hope you like it, and I hope my professor does too.
Oh, and some people have been asking me to clarify the relation between Pandora's Box and this short. See if you can figure it out yourself. If not, I'll be happy to tell you my intentions.
can you post the longer version?
