Song off the Punisher album ... .

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust

Everytime you trample across my peaceful mind
Flailing freely, want me to let it slide
How you hurt her went so far beyond wrong
I burn you down to cinders, ashes now you're gone, yeah

And the scars you left behind
Slowly fade away with time
Ashes of what used to be
Now they tore you onto me

Begging mercy, shifting, playing on both sides
Cut your own throat open and ask me how you died
What was once respect has slowly headed south
Memory forces echoes better in my mouth, yeah

And the scars you left behind
Slowly fade away with time
Ashes of what used to be
Now they tore you onto me

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust

Well I have no respect left for what you're about
And sympathy won't come from me
Erase everything that you once could have been
Destruction of your dignity
I scatter your ashes into the wind
Regret is too short, now you're free
Leave here in shame doomed to fulfill
Your pathetic destiny

And the scars you left behind
Slowly fade away with time
Ashes of what used to be
Now they tore you onto me

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
It's history
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
It's history

  • It amazing how different this band sounds from Pantera.

Even though this band isn't better than Pantera, the members of it created Pantera, so they are still geniuses in my book.

  • @MrDudeMartin I enjoy all the albums, this one too. sig: CHANGE YOUTUBE BACK!!!

  • @MrDudeMartin It's not either worse or better than Pantera, it's just different. The guitarist and drummer from Pantera, the two brothers have formed this band after finding out that the ex-Pantera vocalist was on heroin. It's when everything felt apart.

  • @metalmadaidan Yes. And I loved Pantera, Damageplan, Hellyeah. Only guys who are anywhere near Pantera are Throwdown and the Sign of the Southern Cross.

  • it looks like scott weiland

  • I don't have this song on my album...D'oh! I hate when bands do that!!!

  • @MrDudeMartin its mostly because of dimes signature in your face fucken chainsaw solid-state punching tone. its more warm here in damageplan. i guess it was bein reborn.

  • @skatesforalmost I agree with you. Although I'm a huge fan of Phil Anselmo, It's certain that this song is about him and the whole situation with Pantera. Both sides had different views, and it's a fuckin' tragedy how their conection and friendship just went downhill.
