There is no such thing as a "perfect" synth. All have their pluses and minuses. This one definately has way more pluses. Much better than most VA's. Just wish it had multitimbral capabilities. It would then be close to perfection. Keep up the exceptional work, John!
Looking at the site, this is one impressive synth. I was a little underwhelmed by a few of the sounds though. I understand however that this video is from a year and a half ago, and the unit is just now starting to ship, so hopefully the sound grew some balls between then and now, and some meaty programs were written into it that better emulates the true sound of the Prophet, Moog, VS, etc .

@BlueIzzzs: I think it sounds a lot better if it's not recorded via a microphone. The sound sampled on his website sound a lot better.

@BlueIzzzs I agree. All catchy buzzwords like "Curtis" and "Minimoog" but does it reflect in the sound ?
Still I know digital can sound fat too. Novation for instance did a great job on their VA's.

Big Problem: Still sounds thin like all other digital synths to me. My first opinion.

I think it's brilliant!

The spirit is there but I don't think the sound is willing. Digital synths should really be kept to the plugin realm these days, IMO.
