Demonstrans and hooligans smashing Belgrade TV

uring the yesterday's fighting between the police and hooligans in Belgrade, after the declaration of Kosovo's independence, 50 persons were injured. For more than six hours a group of several hundreds of hooligans created unrest in front of embassies and offices of foreign companies.

The heaviest clash happened in front of the U.S. Embassy, where protestors provoked the police that surrounded the Embassy building and then started throwing rocks and attempted to break through the police line. After the police managed to break up the group, the hooligans left behind many broken traffic lights and McDonald's restaurants. They also attacked the Slovenian embassy, breaking all the windows.
