As long as there is a religious divide, things will continue to be violent and fractured. Shiites or Sunni or Kurds in power makes little difference since those not in power will not trust those in power. It is a cycle seen across the globe and throughout history.
People are all the same physically...but the way we think is always different. That will never change.

i'm surprised the international community doesn't suggest "Balkanization" to split Iraq into 3 pieces. Kurdistan in the North, Sunni Iraq in the west, ...though, they probably don't like the idea of Iran annexing the eastern sunni parts...wait and see I guess.
