This is the opening and closing scenes from the classic Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959). Based on the fairy tale "La Belle au bois dormant" by Charles Perrault. The film's musical score and songs, featuring the work of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, are arrangements or adaptations of numbers from the 1890 Sleeping Beauty ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Directed by Clyde Geronimi.

  • This is one of my favorite disney films. My mom used to study art history, and when we watched this she would show me the French medieval art that these scenes were inspired by. As a kid, it was so exciting for me to think that places like this had actually existed...and that when we watched this it was like being in one of those beautiful paintings.

  • Great animation movie!!

My first Disney animation when I was 5 or 6.

  • Her dress is amazing. I wonder if it's makeable by hand...

  • This doesn't bring me back to my childhood. I've watched this consistently since I was 8 =D
