  • He is great Where is this again?

  • @2002montana Sorry, I see I did not answered your question: This is a project I conceived in 1998 to perform Handel's Messiah by Christmas season under the sponsorship of a church I've been working for for many years as a musician, here in my home town, Santiago, Chile.

  • A truly beautiful voice. The only thing is that with all latin singers, more emphasis needs to be placed on the consonents.

  • @Igaluit Yes, you are right, it is always a challenge for us because of the complex pronunciation of germanic languages, in particular all related to the complex vowel system (in romance languages we usually have just five sounds, not ten or more, as in English, German and Scandinavian languages) and the strong consonants. Just notice that the mostly widely adopted alphabet world-wide is the Latin alphabet, and yes, it just has five vowel signs (A-E-I-O-U). Interesting! Thanks for your comment!

  • Beautifultenor voice! Is he a professional?

  • Yes, he is a university trained tenor. He usually sings opera, oratorios and belongs to a professional chamber choir here in Santiago. A very good light voice, with a naturally high range.

  • I don't care for this version...he is out of tune most of the time. He also sings from the throat, which causes from funny tone coloring.

  • Not very good technique. The air flow is not very free while holding the long E.

  • @sergioiglesias67 I wasn't conscious of the vowel differences; I guess you mean the long and short vowels, and that this doesn't exist in romance languages. Yes, it's true that latin would be simpler, but somehow I don't that Handel's Messiah as written would sound as good in latin. The sharp notes kind of add to the spiritual experience. Anyways, thanks for your reply. Always a challenge to conduct, I guess.

  • That man is a fine fine tenor soloist. What a talent. Superbly done. Thanks for the upload.

  • Ive been listening to different versions, and this one has me floating away on the sound.. beautiful voice

  • This is my favorite part of Handel's Messiah. Wonderfully done! Thank you for posting this.
