The woman at the center of a lawsuit says a Liberty police officer forced her to strip down to her underwear two different times while she was in custody at the jail.
Forcing someone to strip is bad, but why isn't anyone giving this cow shit for driving while so far over the legal limit? I'd rather be forced to strip and get a cavity search than be on the road with this mongrel
The good news is that the perverted scumbag got fired.
everyone, including the officer in question knows that specific police procedural protocol states that only same-sex officers perform strip-searches etc. The cop knew what he was doing was wrong, thats why he made the girl follow him around the corner out of the surveillance camera's view. I'm glad this girl came forward and put a stop to this before the perv cop did anything worse like rape someone.
@eduardog8277 People should not be stripped, or made to strip, with opposite-sex persons present. Period. All law enforcement agencies know good & damn well better than to do that, but they are not accountable for that because the treatment of jail prisoners is a very low(non-existent, really) priority for the public. I suppose men who get made to strip with female LEOs present, are not as known about, because they just plain don't want to talk about it. It is still outrageous.
@cyndish1 fuck that! is it ok for a guy to be buttass naked in front of police women when they search us in the county jail? "guess what" they do that shit everyday in the county jail!!
I understand this woman was traumatized. Hard to sympathize at all with a drunk driver, however. This is exactly how thousands of innocent people have been killed. It is interesting to observe the difference between the consequences to this guy, Matthew Payne, & the consequences(none) to the sheriff deputies who attacked Hope Steffey. Enter "Hope Steffey" into the YT search box & see what law enforcement can get away with in this country. Those deputies were never even disciplined.
