Aside from believing that people can feel remorse for their actions, can change and can do good if given a second chance at life the simple fact is that if there is a death penalty there is always a risk of someone innocent being killed because of forged or incorrect evidence, or even mistaken identity.

I would rather see 1,000 guilty men go free than see 1 innocent man be killed.

I'm forced to go to a crazy, right-winged, fundamentalist church and school myself, and they also have those home-schooled kids in the church. They also support universities like this, are for the war on "terror," want Palin to run for Pres., are against Obama because they're racist, are against aything with "rights" at the end of it (i.e. human, animal, gay,...) and any other reason you can think of.
